You can now install Android 14 on Windows 10 and 11: this is how you can do it

Install Android 14 on Windows

The first thing to do is download the latest version of Android Studio currently available. It must be the latest version since it is the one that includes support for Android 14. If we install a previous version, we will not have the opportunity to test the news. To download the preview version of Android Studio, we must visit the following link.

Next, we open the application and go to the menu Toolswhere we must select the option SDK Manager. Next, we select the latest version of Android Emulator to check if we have the latest version installed and, if not, that it updates automatically.

Then we go back to the menu Tools and we select AVD Manager. Click on create device and follow the steps to create a new Android Virtual Device (AVD). We must make sure to select a compatible Pixel device and a 64-bit image of Android 14.

If we do not have any Android 14 image installed that matches that of the device, click on the button Download that is displayed next to the version name so that Android Studio will download it.

Once we have created the Pixel device with Android 14, we must return to the AVD Manager option located in the Tools menu, and, to the right of the name of the device that we have created, click on the Play button (green triangle oriented towards the right) for start the system.

Initially it may seem like a somewhat complicated process if we have never interacted with Android Studio, however, if we carry out the steps as we have shown you above, we will be able to enjoy Android 14 on Windows and test the news that will come with the final version. . We must take into account that it is a previous version, before the beta, so the performance will not be the best and the applications will suffer from unexpected crashes.
