YouTube brings back Coachella, a festival broadcast live in full

After a short two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, YouTube has just announced that Coachella will return this weekend, with the tenth edition of this music festival that will be fully broadcast through the video platform with free access.

And it is that as we can see in this first presentation video, this new edition will have the presence of great artists of all styleslike Billie Eilish, Lil Baby, Maggie Rogers, Harry Styles, Karol G, Doja Cat, Carly Rae Jespen, Måneskin, Sweedish House Mafia, and many others already confirmed and yet to be announced.

With a duration of two weeks, focused exclusively on weekends, YouTube has already shared a first program for this Coachella. During the first weekend of the festival, which runs from April 15 to 17we can select between three feeds that will have different performances, with broadcasts that start at 1:00 p.m. from Friday to Saturday, lasting until Monday night. They will include artist interviews and replays as well. During the second weekend, from 22 to 24YouTube will feature the Coachella Curated experience, including encore performances, mini documentaries, artist commentary and more.

On the other hand, the platform has also promised that this year the Coachella will have some new elements to improve the online experience: for the first time the Live Chat for broadcasts, with which fans will be able to communicate during performances and intermissions; will be provided real time updates about the schedule through pinned chats; some creators will publish festival shortsand there will even be exclusive merchandising releases.

Additionally, during both weekends, some artists will also organize previous parties with limited access exclusively for those users who have a subscription to the YouTube Premium plan. This includes both paid plans and all those users who start a free trial for the service.
