
The firm Zebra Technologies has expanded its catalog of professional tablets aimed at the health sector. In total, it has presented two new models that fall within the ET4x-HC series, the ET40-HC and ET45-HC. They both use Android as operating systemand have a reinforced design that allows them to adapt without problems to any situation.
Both tablets feature a case that is ready for successfully pass continuous disinfection processes, they are very light and have a 10-inch screen, which means that they offer an optimal experience in reading documents and files. This is important, since a very small screen size can make this seemingly simple task end up being uncomfortable, especially if we have to read long texts.
The ET4x-HC also feature an emergency alert buttonwhich can be programmed to call for help or launch an app to make it easy to follow protocols in the event of a medical emergency, and come with a built-in 2D scanner for quick snaps, aiding in patient identification and medication administration without mistakes.
At the level of specifications, both Zebra Technologies tablets start from a common base, since both have a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and 500 nits of brightness, use a Snapdragon 695 SoC, which has an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 619 GPU, has a 7,600 mAh battery, integrates a 13 MP rear camera, is IP65 certified for resistance to dust and water, has Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and they come with Android 11, upgradable to Android 14.
The only important difference between the two is that the Zebra Technologies ET45-HC has, in addition to all of the above, with 5G connectivity, which means that it can be connected to the Internet without having to rely on a Wi-Fi network, making it a recommended solution for healthcare workers who have to work in the field.
