Asus is launching no less than 6 new Zenbook laptops at the same time. Among them, we find the Zenbook Pro Duo 14 OLED and Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, two laptops that each have their strengths to seduce sometimes gamers, sometimes creatives… Or the most demanding PC users.
Despite the shortage of components that affects manufacturers around the world, Asus is renewing its range of Zenbook laptops. No fewer than 6 new models are entering the market, including the Zenbook Pro Duo 14 OLED and Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, two devices that really caught our eye. While waiting for a complete test on the site, here is in detail everything that awaits us within the new Zenbook range from Asus.

Zenbook Pro Duo 14 OLED (UX8402): the double screen revisited
According to Asus, the Zenbook Pro Duo 14 OLED is the “world’s first 14.5″ 2.8K 120Hz OLED laptop”. But that may not be what grabs your attention at first. Because, as on the previous model, the device has a secondary touch screen. Called SreenPad Plus, it benefits from a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 10% higher than the previous generation. Asus took the opportunity to improve the IPS technology of this second screen (the main screen using OLED, as the name of the laptop suggests).
In addition, the device benefits from “greater raw power”. Thrilling with a Core I9 12900H (12th generation, therefore), this PC is also equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. On the cooling side, there is an AAS Ultra mechanism. This technology allows the device to be ventilated more efficiently, while tilting the second screen by 12°.
If you want to get a Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED, you’ll have to be patient. Asus explains that the PC will be available during the 3rd trimester. Price of the beast? From €2099 depending on the configuration selected. Note that there is also a Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED, which is equipped with a 15.6″ screen, a Core i9-12900G and an RTX 3060.
Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602):
the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED has a 16:10 touch screen. Limited to a refresh rate of 60 Hz, its 16″ screen offers, according to Asus, “100% DCI-P3 cinema quality and certified
VESA DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 for the deepest blacks”. But above all, the manufacturer rightly explains that it is the “most powerful Zenbook of all time”.
This laptop is indeed equipped with an Intel 12th generation Core i9 12900H processor. It is also cut out for gaming, since it has an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 card. For the occasion, the manufacturer has also developed a new cooling system called Asus IceCool Pro. The device is designed using two IceBlades fans, which each have 97 curved blades. The set takes care of cooling CPU and GPU, which can operate with a combined TDP of 140 W in Performance mode and emit only 40 dB in Standard mode.
Asus also assures that its Zenbook Pro 16X OLED battery offers up to 10 hours of battery life thanks to its 96Wh battery. Taking advantage of a thickness of only 16.9 mm, the device weighs 2.4 kg and uses an aluminum alloy 6000 of “ultra-resistant aerospace quality”.
Like the Pro Duo 14 OLED mentioned above, the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will be marketed during the 3rd quarter of 2022. Count one starting price of 2999 € depending on the chosen configuration.
And that’s not all !
Asus also announces the release of other models from its Zenbook range. the Zenbook Pro 15 Flip OLED will be released like its companions during the 3rd quarter of 2022 (from €2,099), at the same time as the Zenbook Pro 17 (from 1499 €). Always at the same time, we will also be entitled to a Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED (from 1999 €) and a Zenbook S 13 OLED (from 1499 €).
