Paleo wins the Kennerspiel des Jahres 2021 award

The winner of the award was announced today Kennerspiel des Jahres for the year 2021: it’s about Paleo, which was awarded the title of best board game for experts published in the last year in German.

Let’s see some more details on Paleo, and on the titles that have been classified and have been recognized as noteworthy by the Teutonic jury.

Paleo is Kennerspiel des Jahres 2021

The author who takes the prize home is Peter Rustemeyer, for its stone age board game that supports 2 to 4 players in games between 45 and 60 minutes. The original edition is Hans im Glück, while in our country we find it under the United Games label.

The other finalists, who were in the running to the last, were The Lost Ruins of Arnak, with Skull Creations in Italy, e Fantasy Realms, title of 2017 (but only published in the last year in German), by WizKids.

These, on the other hand, are the names of the games recognized as worthy of mention but which did not make it into the final trio: Aeon’s End, Riftforce, Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion and Barrage.

The winner of the “main” prize awarded by the jury, the coveted Spiel des Jahres, will also be announced today. In the meantime, we congratulate the Paleo team, the author Peter Rustemeyer and to the publishing houses that own the rights for the international localizations of the Kennerspiel des Jahres 2021!
