The most important thing about this router is that it supports FRITZ!MeshAVM technology for form a complete WiFi Mesh network with other FRITZ!Box routers, FRITZ!Repeater repeaters and also with FRITZ!Powerlines. Of course, we have WiFi roaming with 802.11k/v standards, Smart Connect with band-steering, and we also have the possibility to configure WPA2-Personal or WPA2/WPA3-Personal for wireless network security.

This router has one 2.5G Multigigabit Ethernet port for the Internet WAN, although this port could also work as a LAN if we configure this router as a WiFi access point, to complement the operator’s router. The firmware allows us to configure any type of connection on this WAN port, including fiber operators that need a VLAN ID to connect correctly.
This router also incorporates a total of 3 Gigabit Ethernet ports for LAN dedicated, it also has one high-performance USB 3.0 port with which we will obtain a great speed of reading and writing.
The FRITZ!Box 4060 has a DECT base to connect wireless phones, and we have the possibility of connecting up to 6 FRITZ! Fon or other manufacturers’ wireless phones, in addition, we can also connect Smart Home devices to automate certain tasks in our home.
FRITZ! OS Firmware
