The Elder Scrolls 6: Bethesda updates fans on the release date

Bethesda has shared in these hours an update on the release date of The Elder Scrolls 6, the highly anticipated sixth chapter of the RPG saga and sequel to Skyrim.

Unfortunately, the update in question is that, more or less, the game is actually still quite far from its release date.

The Elder Scrolls 6 release date is… far away

In a recent interview, Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard talked about the game and how long fans will have to wait to see the Skyrim sequel. To that end, Howard explained that they don’t expect the game to be released anytime soon, and that priority has always been given to Starfield because the team thought that if the game wasn’t made “now”, it might not be ” never “realized.

“We wanted to do something like Starfield… we’ve wanted to do something else for a long time and play in a new universe, so if not now – looking back, we started right after Fallout 4, then in 2015 – if not now, when? It seemed that if we hadn’t done it at that moment, the “when” could have become “never”

Although Howard didn’t mention a release date or release window for The Elder Scrolls VI, his words confirm that most of the members of Bethesda Game Studios are working on Starfield and will work on it until its release. What does this mean for the next Elder Scrolls game? Probably that it is still in pre-production, and therefore, still several years after its arrival on consoles and PC.
