Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be seen at 4K and 30 frames per second on PS5

Yakuza: Like a Dragon has not only become the best title of the entire saga , which has a lot of merit considering the large number of video games that this treasures franchise. As if that were not enough, it also has the honor of having been listed as the authentic GOTY of 2020.

Despite having come out last year, it still has a long way to go, especially in regarding the technical level . In fact, the PC version is much higher, although everything will begin to change from March.

And it is the month chosen by the developer studio to launch the version corresponding to PlayStation 5. It will be one hundred percent free if the one released for PS4 is already available, although something has outraged gamers: unlike Microsoft, Sony has not made the necessary efforts so that the games of the previous generation can be continued in the new one.

This negative aspect aside, PS5 will be lucky enough to have a very good version of the game , almost at the level of the one that was launched for PC. Specifically, it will raise the possibility of activating two different performance modes.

‘Quality’ and ‘Performance’ mode

As SEGA has indicated, from March 2 you will be able to enjoy this version of PlayStation 5 with a couple of different modes. This will allow each player to experience an experience adapted to their tastes.

Those who prefer to see everything with the highest possible resolution will have the ” Quality’. In this case the details will be perfectly visible thanks to the fact that each scene will be reproduced in 4K.

Of course, something must be sacrificed in exchange for such a high quality. Specifically, it will be the frame rate per second that is drastically reduced, being only 30 FPS . Even so, in a JRPG like Yakuza: Like a Dragon it does not affect as negatively as in video games of other genres that do require greater fluency: racing, sports, shooters, etc.

However It is understandable that some gamers prefer to enjoy a more dynamic and stable experience when it comes to FPS, increasing the number to a total of 60. For all of them there will be a mode ‘Performance’.

This time the resolution will go down until it reaches 1440p . It is a perfect alternative for those who do not yet have a 4K panel. Rescaling is not worth it, so it is much more advisable to opt for this mode.

Whatever decision users make, SEGA has ensured that both 30 and 60 FPS will be stable under all circumstances. Not surprising, since PlayStation 5 has enough technical characteristics to run Yakuza: Like a Dragon without difficulties.

Even so, it will be impossible to reach 4K and 60 FPS . As you might expect, the competition -Xbox Series X / S- can’t either. For such spectacular figures, it would be necessary to resort to a very high-performance PC, which would require a stratospheric outlay. If you are not very demanding, the Performance mode will satisfy you one hundred percent with purely oriental scenarios that seem real.
