Ogre Crossing Games has launched a campaign in recent days Kickstarter for the financing of Alien Petshop, a board game created by Gregory Grimsby.

Alien Petshop will be on Kickstarter for a few more days

Alien Petshop is a lightweight, dice placement and set collection game for 2-4 players, ages 11 and up, which will involve us in games of duration included between 30 and 90 minutes. The players have to manage their own cosmic pet shop, coming from different parts of the galaxy and that if on the one hand they are cute and “pucciosi” on the other hand they could also be dangerous.

The players roll and award i workers at their disposal, to take care of the animals, help them generate new offspring to sell and can also select new “evolutionary traits”.

Be warned though, some workers could be negligent and trigger a pet’s dangerous effects which, if not mitigated, can dirty the shop, light fires, or even eat the worker.

The mechanics of set collection of the game earns reward cards that are worth victory points. Pets bear children who are sold for profit, and workers can also sell goods to earn extra money. At the end of 5 rounds the pet shop with the most credits and victory points is declared the winner.

The Kickstarter campaign has already achieved its funding goal with over 300 supporters and the campaign will end Wednesday 14 July 2021. Delivery of the game is scheduled for February 2022.
