Battlefield 2042: free next-gen update also for owners of the standard edition

Although EA has stated in the past that only the owners of the Gold edition of Battlefield 2042 (in Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions) would have benefited from the free update for consoles next-gen, now even those who buy the standard edition will be able to get the improvements designed for Xbox Series X | S and PS5 for free.

EA extends the free next-gen update for owners of the standard edition of Battlefield 2042 as well

Anyone who purchases any version of Battlefield 2042 will be able, unlike what was previously stated, to switch to the next-gen edition of the game. But not only.

Our save files, when we move to a new generation console, will be kept between the old and the new console, as well as the game progress that can be transferred.

The game’s release was recently postponed to November 19, 2021, but it seems that this is not all bad considering this good news and that the Battlefield 2042 open beta will start today.

Early access will be granted to anyone who has pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 (which you can find TO THIS ADDRESS) and to all those who have a subscription to EA Play. This also includes all owners of an Xbox Game Pass.

See you on the battlefield!
