Let’s take a look at what the publishing house that re-edited the 1979 classic prepares us to continue our playful adventure in the sands of the planet Arrakis.

Dune: Betrayal coming with Gale Force Nine

A game of intrigue, tactics and deception: this is how Dune: Betrayal presents itself. On the cover of the game we see Timothée Chalamet and Dave Bautista, a sign that this title too will take up the graphics derived from the next Denis Villeneuve film. The author is Don Eskridge, already known thanks to his previous board games The Resistance and his medieval reinterpretation The Resistance: Avalon.

The particular player counter (you can play from 4 to 8 players) is a clear indication of what kind of board game we will be facing; no doubt the social interaction component will be fundamental. During matches between 20 and 40 minutes, we will compete as secret agents of the great houses of Dune. Only a few will be our allies: the goal is to find out where enemies are hiding, while protecting our house leaders and helping allies whenever possible. Hidden roles, betrayals and alliances: all the ingredients are there to re-enact the intricate politics of the Dune universe.

Dune: Betrayal is expected in October 2021, for now only in English. But don’t stop reading to find out if and when this title will also arrive in Italian!
