A significant milestone for Rockstar Games, with GTA V which reaches 150 million copies sold, while the entire saga stands at 350 million copies.
Despite his 8 years on his shoulders, Grand Theft Auto V continues to entertain its community, thanks also to the continuous support of the software house and the multiplayer mode rich in content.
150 million copies sold for GTA V
The parent company of Rockstar Games, Take Two Interactive, revealed that Grand Theft Auto V it has sold 150 million copies to date. A truly remarkable feat given the age of the game, which is getting closer and closer to a re-release for next gen consoles.
This new version will arrive in the fall, to bring GTA V And GTA Online on Xbox Series X and PS5. The likelihood is that sales will increase further during the launch period but also in the coming years, as the alleged GTA VI will not be released until 2024 or 2025.
The series, consisting of 11 games, also reached 350 million copies sold, with Grand Theft Auto V which represents approximately 42% of total sales. It goes without saying that the game continues to be enjoyed by everyone and it is no surprise that Rockstar wants to keep it constantly updated and with new content.
In the ranking of the best sellers, GTA V continues to be in second place, right after Minecraft and ahead of Tetris. The Online version is a further drag for all gamers and with the implementation of Los Santos Tuners it has certainly increased the attractiveness for multiplayer gaming.
The next-gen console re-release, due out in November, will bring additional sales for the Rockstar game, with the company announcing numerous exclusive content in addition to the 4K update.
Although the wait is long for the sixth chapter of GTA, the surprises related to Grand Theft Auto V they are definitely not over and fans will be able to count on constant game updates from Rockstar Games.
