Main features of the QNAP TS-233
This home NAS server incorporates a 64-bit ARM processor with four cores at 2.0GHz speedthis processor has hardware encryption engine to provide the best performance when using encrypted data, either on the encrypted volume or using protocols like FTPES, SFTP, and even VPNs. This equipment incorporates 2GB of RAM memory and cannot be expanded, it also has 4GB of FLASH memory to store the firmware and have a double boot in case of failure.
Storage on this equipment consists of 2 bays to house 3.5” and 2.5” hard drivesit is also compatible with 2.5” SSDs, ideal to have the maximum possible reading and writing speed. A very important aspect is that the drive bays are hot swappable. Taking into account that we only have two bays for hard drives, we can configure a RAID 0 to have the best performance in reading and writing, or use it in RAID 1 (mirror) to be sure that, in the event of a breakage of one of the disks, the information remains without data loss problems.
