The Snapchat mobile app is currently affected by an outage. Text messages and photos are not sent, while requests to add contact are not successful. Public stories are always accessible.
After Facebook and then OVH recently, it is the turn of the Snapchat application to experience an outage this Wednesday, October 13, 2021. At 13:47, more than 7600 service outages were reported to Downdector. On Twitter, many users of the application have expressed their difficulties to connect via the hashtag #snapchatdown.
The service reacted officially shortly before 2 p.m., in posting a tweet : ” We are aware that some Snapchatters are having issues with the app right now – hang on, we’re looking into this! », Without giving more details on the origin of the problem.
Cannot send private messages and photos
For its part, the editorial staff of Numerama tried to use the service, which is indeed slow. Public Stories are still accessible, but sending photos and private messages is not possible for multiple users.
