Plot and details of the series
The series grew out of a post-season finale scene from The Mandalorian 2, with Fett and Fennec Shand traveling to Jabba’s Palace on Tatooine. This is where Fett kills Jabba’s former butler and chief of staff, Bib Fortuna, and ascends Jabba’s throne as Shand takes his place at his side.
Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen will return in their roles as Fett and Shand in the series.
Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book, Elf), Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Alita: Battle Angel) and Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Bad Batch) developed the series as executive producers and directors.
Ludwig Göransson, former author of the soundtrack of The Mandalorian, will also take care of the soundtrack of The Book of Boba Fett.
The series will arrive on Disney + on December 29, 2021.
