  • To solve the problem, dial *#*#197328640#*#* into your phone’s dialer. You can also dial *#197328640#. Dialing this number will put you in control mode of your phone.
  • Make sure the Shared option is selected on your device.
  • Now choose the first option, which should be Field Test Mode (FTM). If you see that FTM is enabled, disable it. After disabling FTM, press the menu key and your IMEI number should be restored.
  • To deactivate FTM, press the Enter key on option 2.
  • Remove the battery from the device (if you have a removable battery) and remove the SIM card from the device.
  • Wait two minutes and reinsert the battery, but do not reinsert the SIM card yet.
  • Turn the machine on and enter *#197328640# in the dialer again.
  • Go to the debug screen menu and tap Phone Control.
