Verification of third-party applications

Sometimes a third-party application can be the cause of the problem. To boot into safe mode,

  • If you press and hold the power button for a few seconds, various options will be displayed.

Performing a factory reset

Continue to

  • Setting of
  • Accounts tab
  • Backup and reset
  • Restoring to factory settings

Back up important data before performing this step, as a factory reset will erase all data and return the phone to the state it was in when you bought it. There are several ways to secure your phone. Follow the steps below to back up first.

  • One of the best ways is to use Samsung’s Kies program, which we usually use to update the software on our Galaxy devices.
  • The second way to secure your device is to use your Google Account. Go to Settings > General > Backup & Restore and there you will be given two options: Backing up my data and Auto Restore. Make sure these options are enabled by checking the appropriate box. It automatically saves data like your Wi-Fi password, application data, Google settings and Google server bookmarks.
  • Another way to back up your data is to use a Samsung account. To do this, go to App > Settings > Users & Backup > Account and make sure you are signed in to your Samsung account. If enabled, your contacts, calendar and internet settings are synchronised with your Samsung account.

The solution was discovered by developer Ravi Chandra Timmavajjula, I noticed that when I reset the phone (for the 4th time) and in step 2, when it asks for Wi-Fi networks, it was able to scan the networks and connect to it. Then, after performing the rest of the setup steps (e.g. logging into your Samsung account, logging into your Google account, etc.), the same problems start again. If this has happened to you, reset the device, and if it asks you to log into both Samsung and Google accounts, make sure you uncheck Restore from server in both cases (I think the biggest problem is mostly with Samsung, though). The WiFi option is now activated normally. Then go to Settings>Accounts and enable manual backup and restore for Google and Samsung, one at a time. The problem did not occur again when I performed this procedure. See also – The iPhone 6 does not turn on
