A powerful, yet compact PC

The well-known Chinese company has launched the Chuwi LarkBox X, a compact but powerful PC that uses a classic design, but that brings a curious combination of colors, since it mixes black and white to achieve an unusual finish in this type of equipment. In general terms, I think that the result that Chuwi has achieved has been quite good.

We are going to see its specifications at the hardware level since, after all, they are what is important. This equipment has a Ryzen 7 3700U APU, a low-power chip based on the Zen+ architecture and manufactured in 12nm that has a CPU of four cores and eight threads. Its GPU is a Radeon 10 integrated solution, which means it has 640 shaders.

The Chuwi LarkBox X has 8 GB of 2,400 MHz DDR4 memory configured in dual channel and has a 256 GB PCE NVMe SSD. both components can be easily expanded, so its useful life is not compromised by the use of welded components. As far as its connectors are concerned, the Chuwi LarkBox X comes with a fairly extensive set:

  • 4 x USB 3.0 Type-A.
  • 1x USB Type-C.
  • 2x Gigabit Ethernet.
  • 1*HDMI 2.0
  • 1xDisplayPort.
  • 1 x 3.5mm headphone jack.

As expected, the Chuwi LarkBox X comes with a network card that offers wireless connection Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. In terms of performance, its CPU is well above the classic Intel Celeron and Pentium that we see in many compact computers, but it remains somewhat behind the Core i5-1135G7. I wanted to make this simple comparison so that you have some context when it comes to placing it in terms of raw performance.

The price of the Chuwi LarkBox X is $399. We still do not know its official price in Spain since it has not yet been listed in our country, but since it is a global launch by Chuwi it is only a matter of time until it begins to be available in the Spanish market. Its price will probably be around 400 euros.
