Activision promises the arrival of at least three new Call of Duty to PlayStation

After the surprising acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, a lot of doubts began to arise about whether the company would decide to remove some of the most recognized sagas such as Call of Duty from the Sony console. However, from the very beginning, the Redmond company assured that it would respect PlayStation exclusives, such as Crash Bandicoot or Spyro, and now, the company itself Activision speaks out to calm players down a bit more.

And it is that as they have shared from Bloomberg, who assure that they have had the collaboration of up to four separate sources with internal knowledge of the developer, Activision plans to launch at least three other installments of Call of Duty on both consoles Xbox and PlayStation, in addition to PC.

These games include the next entry in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward, due out later this year; a new version of Call of Duty Warzone scheduled for 2023; an unannounced Call of Duty title, and which Treyarch expects to release sometime in 2023. However, this leaves us with a pretty uncertain future for releases in the years to come, marking 2024 as a possible turning point within the industry for the time being.

Though it bears mentioning that if Microsoft were to continue to release Activision titles like Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles, apparently the most likely course of action, this would allow you to greatly diversify the sources of income from these games. And it is that although making Call of Duty an exclusive franchise for Xbox and Windows could certainly be a really tough move for Sony, it is not a title that is going to make platform users change.

However, Microsoft was also not expected to opt for monopolize other great deliveries like The Elder Scrolls VI, which was already confirmed as exclusive for Xbox and PC, so it is still early to highlight an “offensive” move by the company.

So that, We would like to know your opinion: Where do you play Call of Duty, PlayStation, Xbox or PC? Do you think this exclusivity could switch gamers from PS5 to Xbox Series X|S? Do you consider this a good or bad move for the industry?
