In this week’s edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman shares his predictions for Apple’s 2022 Mac launches and says there will likely be three rounds of releases. According to him, Apple is expected to introduce 7 new models this year.

Gurman’s list mainly includes models using the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, as well as the expected next-gen M2 chip. An improved version of the M1 Max SoC should also be used in 2022.

What new Mac models are expected this year?

The March 8 Keynote dedicated to the iPhone SE 2022 should also be an opportunity for Apple to introduce a new generation of 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 chip. Apple should also take advantage of the conference to introduce two new Mac minis.

Unlike the previous model, these are expected to be powered by the new M2 chip, and an even more powerful model is said to feature the M1 Pro chip from last year’s 14- and 16-inch MacBooks. 3 new Macs were recently listed by Apple in a Russian database, so we can expect all three to arrive at the conference next month.

Finally, Mark Gurman also expects Apple to unveil later this year a 24-inch iMac with an M2 chipa new colorful MacBook Air with an M2 SoC, a Bigger iMac Pro with those M1 Pro and M1 Max chips and also a Half-size Mac Pro with multiple M1 Max chips. All these models should be presented during two separate Keynotes, but should arrive by the end of 2022.

In the meantime, both are turned to the event scheduled for March 8. In addition to its affordable new iPhone SE and new Macs, Apple could also introduce an iPad Air with an A15 chipthe same one found on the current iPhone 13.
