Apple works on new professional monitors

The company with the bitten apple is preparing new professional monitors that could hit the market next year, and that will mean a major renewal of Apple’s catalog. According to Bloomberg, one of the most important products will be the new Pro Display XDRan update to the model that arrived in December 2019.

Those new monitors will be powered by an Apple Silicon chip, which means that Tim Cook’s firm will repeat the approach we saw with the Studio Display, a screen that uses an A13 Bionic SoC, the same chip used by the iPhone 11, and that has a 6-core CPU and a GPU Apple 4 core.

Unfortunately we don’t have any concrete details and we don’t know exactly how many monitors Apple has in development right now, but some believe it’s unlikely to see a revamp of the Studio Display any time soon. There is nothing definitive, but if this is true, the future generation of the Studio Display would arrive within a year, or perhaps more.

According to the most reliable sources we have right now, one of the biggest new monitors Apple could launch in 2023 will have a 27-inch screen and will use a mini-LED panel. It is not clear in which line it will fit, but for that type of panel it is clear that it will be a high-end model.

Many users have long been asking Apple to develop and market a professional screen with a more contained price, something that could happen at some point, but for the moment there is no confirmation either. However, you can be sure that said economical screen will eventually hit the marketAfter all, Apple has already opted for the most affordable products in almost its entire ecosystem of devices (the iPhone SE is the most recent example, and one of the most important).
