ASUS PL63, a compact computer with good performance

ASUS PL63 is a new model that the Taiwanese manufacturer has put up for sale to reinforce a catalog of Mini-PCs that continues to grow. Waiting for the PL64 to launch the Intel Alder Lake processors next quarter, the one we are dealing with is extremely interesting for small offices, consumer desks or lounges, as it offers all the advantages of these compact computers in size, connectivity and performance.

The ASUS PL63 has dimensions of 16 x 12 x 4 centimeters, which allows it to be placed anywhere. Its hardware base is a processor Intel Core i5-1135G7. It is an eleventh generation development and manufacturing in 10nm, with four cores and eight processing threads, at a maximum frequency of 4.2 GHz and 8 Gbytes of cache. A CPU with plenty of performance for a mini-PC and that has a reinforced graphics system with an integrated Iris Xe at 1.3 GHz.

It has two SODIMM slots that allow you to install up to 32 GB of RAM Dual channel DDR4 and up to 4 Tbytes for PCIe solid state drive based storage. Among its connectivity, we highlight the wireless card with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. On the back it has two inputs to place additional Wi-Fi antennas and improve the range of those installed internally.

ASUS sells the mini-PC with a 90-watt power adapter and distributes it in various versions. The cheapest is a barebones what does it cost $492, and where the user has to put the memory, storage and operating system. From there we see a dozen configurations up to the top of the range with 32 GB of RAM, a 4 TB capacity SSD and Windows 11 Pro.
