Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft announces the game based on the movies

With the arrival of numerous new films in the Avatar (the long-delayed first sequel will debut in theaters next year), Ubisoft has officially announced the existence of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, video game ready to bring us back to Pandora revealed through a long trailer.

The game, developed by Massive Entertainment in partnership with Lightstorm Entertainment is Disney, will be a first-person action / adventure title, which will lead us to discover a part of the planet created by James Cameron never explored in the cinema, the western one. This will be possible through the eyes of a Na’Vi, our character, obviously engaged in fighting the invasion forces of the RDA.

Here is the long trailer which, unlike what you might think for an announcement trailer, lasts over 2.5 minutes and shows some cinematic sequences set in a Na’Vi community and in an RDA outpost:

The existence of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora had actually already been anticipated in 2017, but Ubisoft has maintained total silence on the new game to date. We now know that this will arrive exclusively for next-gen consoles, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, but also on Stadia, Amazon Luna and Windows PC in the course of 2022.
