Last December we told you about the Chuwi MiniBook X, a convertible that caught our attention because it was outlined as a very light device, but at the same time quite powerful, thanks to its successful configuration at the hardware level. At that time we were not clear when it would be available, and its price was not fully confirmed. Today, finally, we can give you all the information, and its final price, since it is available in pre-purchase.
At the design level, the Chuwi MiniBook X has a line that greatly reinforces the Apple MacBook Pro, especially because of the keyboard layout. The screen has very small borders, and the front camera has been integrated into a floating island that is located in the upper left corner, as can be seen in the cover image. Regarding its construction, Chuwi has used a aluminum chassis, a premium material that is synonymous with quality.
Returning to the screen, we find a body-to-panel ratio of 90%. This has a size of 10.8 inches, is touch type and reaches a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It can rotate up to 360 degrees, which means that we can use the Chuwi MiniBook X as a tablet without any problem, and place it in different positions. His weight is 899 grams, which means that it is not only a compact device, but also very light.
To make the most of the chassis space, the keyboard stretches from end to end, and at the bottom of it we have a fairly generously sized touchpad. At the hardware level, it has a processor Intel Celeron N5100 quad-core and four-thread, manufactured in the 10nm process, has 12 GB of RAM and mounts a 512 GB SSD. It has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, has a slot for SSD drives in M.2 format and mounts a 26.6 Wh battery, which is compatible with fast recharging.
The Chuwi MiniBook X is available for pre-purchase, until February, for a price of 546.37 euros, and includes a stylus. It is a temporary offer, since its normal price will be 572.85 euros.
