Creative Zen Air, a lot for very little

Although, I admit, I’m not very prone to headphones of this format, these Creative Zen Air are the kind of devices that make me rethink my habits and preferences and, perhaps, get out of the so-called comfort zone for, who knows , perhaps discovering that what I have been missing for a long time is more and better than I thought, or at least what I remember from my experiences in the (already a bit distant) past.

As you may have deduced from the images, I’m talking about earbuds, and especially wireless ones, and I’m also talking, when I mention reconsidering my preferences, about the feeling I have after reviewing the specifications of this new proposal from Creative, which In addition to being convinced by them, I find it even more interesting when I see the price, which I indicate below. At the moment I can tell you that if you like this type of headset, this is a great option. And if you don’t like this type of headset… maybe it’s time for you to rethink it.

Built around two separate 10-millimeter neodymium drivers, the Creative Zen Air represents an evolutionary leap in the brand’s design paradigm, with a more minimalist and elegant appearance and with the adoption of white, which we will also find in its charging case. . They are also very light, with only five grams per earphone, to which we must add the only 36 grams of its charging case, if we go out with it.

But we are talking about headphones, so the most important thing is undoubtedly their sound quality. In this regard, the most notable thing is that offer active noise cancellation. We will not have, in this model, the app that we do find in higher models such as the Creative Sensemore Air, but we are offered ambient modes (with partial reduction) and full cancellation, so that we can choose the most appropriate option, and above all safe, if we use them while we walk down the street.

We won’t have to give up positional sound either, as these Creative Zen Air are compatible with upcoming SXFI Ready devices that will incorporate Super X-Fi Spatial Holography technology. Thanks to it, the headphones are capable of emulating in a very credible way the presence of several speakers in different positions within the headset itself.

Regarding its autonomy, each full charge of the headphones can provide us with up to six hours of use, which rises to no less than 18 hours of total autonomy thanks to its charging case. To connect they use Bluetooth 5.0 and to guarantee their resistance they have the IPX4 certification.

The Creative Zen Air are already on sale and, although their normal price is 59.99 euros, you can currently find them on the Creative website for just €39.99.
