Cursed 2 will not be done, the Netflix series with Katherine Langford has been canceled

Cursed 2, the second season of the fantasy series starring Katherine Langford, it was officially deleted from Netflix.

The series thus joins the many other shows (Messiah, Jupiter’s Legacy, Dark Crystal: The Resistance, just to name a few) canceled from the Californian video on demand platform after just one season.

Cursed 2 has been officially canceled

A week after the anniversary of Cursed’s debut, which landed on the service on July 17, 2020, Netflix has extinguished the hopes of fans of being able to see Katherine Langford, former star of Thirteen, as a young Lady of the Lake of Arcturian legends.

Cursed

Based on the book by Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller, the series was in fact starring Nimue (Katherine Langford), a “Girl with a mysterious gift, destined to become the powerful and tragic Lady of the Lake.”

After the death of her mother, the young woman goes on a mission in search of Merlin with the task of delivering an ancient sword, finding an unlikely ally in the humble mercenary Arthur. During her journey Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrible Red Paladins and their accomplice King Uther.

Cursed is a coming-of-age story that addresses topical issues such as the destruction of the environment, religious terrorism, the absurdity of war and the courage to face impossible challenges.

Netflix has not explained the reasons behind the cancellation of the series, but it is plausible that these are related to the lack of success among the public (the series was liked more by critics than by viewers) and to the evidently not exactly exciting ratings.
