Today we talk about Distilled, a board game which is carrying out its fermentation process in recent weeks … sorry, financing, come on Kickstarter.
Let’s take a closer look at this title which, as you may have understood, takes us into the world of the most aromatic liqueurs and spirits.
Distilled is the board game where you run a liquor factory
Distilled is a game for 1 to 5 players, with an indicated duration of approximately 30 minutes per player; the author is Dave Beck. The setting: After inheriting a liquor factory from a distant relative, we will have to put it back together and scale the industry of these spirits. To do this we must have careful management of the entire production chain: from raw materials, to recipes to make the best products, to the most skilled artisans to take care of the company, up to the final sales phase.
With careful handling of the hand, and a bold challenge to luck through a push-your-luck mechanic during the production phase, only the best player-distillers will be able to prevail over the others at the end of the 7 rounds.
Distilled’s Kickstarter campaign will run until July 30th; the title has already convinced many backers, and raised over 220,000 euros for the realization. You can test it now on Tabletopia and Tabletop Simulator. To grab a copy, the cost for the base game is around 47 euros; with a contribution of 73 instead you get the deluxe version, with an expansion included. The wait, however, as for all liqueurs of a certain level, is not short: delivery to lenders is scheduled for December 2022.
