Samsung’s new premium tablet, the Galaxy S8 Tab, arrived in Brazil just over a month ago. It costs BRL 7,699. It’s expensive for Brazilians. But, without a doubt, it is one of the best Android tablets available on the market.

And for those who are going to invest this money in a device, certainly, the durability of the device is an important issue to be taken into account. The big concern is: can it be that thin and delicate, the Tab S8 can handle the daily beating? Does he break?
To answer this question in the most practical way possible, a YouTube channel took the test and put the Galaxy Tab S8 through a (aggressive) battery of tests. Check it out in the video below:
Torture Session on Galaxy Tab S8
In almost 10 minutes of torture at the Galaxy Tab S8the youtuber Zack, from the channel JerryRigEverything, used some tools and styluses to test the protection of the screen, cameras and also the tablet body. All regions were subject to scratches – some lighter, but nothing as disturbing as the dinosaur drawn with a stylus on the back of the device.
The tablet bends its legs when it is subjected to the intense heat of a lighter flame, which permanently damages the device’s display.

But what draws even more attention – and clearly frustrates the youtuber – is the fact that the Tab S8 doesn’t break in half or even bend definitively. Samsung’s construction means that all applied force just bends the tablet, but without breaking.

The Galaxy Tab S8 features an 11-inch Super AMOLED display and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The tablet has a 12 MP ultrawide front camera and a rear lens set consisting of a 13 MP camera and a 6 MP ultrawide camera.
