The presentation of the Galaxy S22 is still scheduled for February 9, 2022. However, the global shortage of electronic chips is obviously playing tricks on Samsung. According to leaker Jon Prosser, the difficulties encountered in the supply chain are forcing the brand to postpone the delivery of the first devices.

According to the first information provided by the manufacturer, it will be possible to reserve the three different models, namely the S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra between February 14 and 21, then pre-order them between February 21 and 24. Deliveries will begin on February 25, 2022.

The shortage of chips is playing tricks on Samsung
Only and according to the famous leaker Jon Prosser, the program will be slightly different. According to its internal sources, the current global shortage of semiconductors upsets the plans of the South Korean firm. Indeed, Samsung would encounter serious problems in its supply chains. Without going into details, the insider claims that the availability of some models has been delayed.
So, it will still be possible to get a Galaxy S22 Ultra on February 25 as advertised. In contrast, the first deliveries of the S22 and S22+ could not take place before March 11, see more. If Jon Prosser’s statements should be taken with a grain of salt (even if his reputation is second to none), a delivery delay for the S22 and S22+ seems logical. The shortage affects all players in the industry, and logically, the S22 and S22+ should represent the bulk of sales in this range.
In other words, the manufacturer must have planned a much larger stock of Vanilla and S22+ models to meet demand, which could explain this additional delay. As a reminder, the shortage of chips has also had an impact on the prices of the Galaxy S22. As another reputable leaker announced in early January 2022, Samsung would have had no choice but to revise upwards prices for each model. According to him, all variants will trade for $100 more.
