GK3V, an inexpensive and easy to upgrade “pocket” mini PC

The GK3V is a compact mini PC that is presented as an interesting option due to its size, its specifications and also because it is very easy to update. First of all we are going to analyze its dimensions and its design. This kit measures 7.1 x 7.1 x 4.5cm, which means that it is so small that it fits in the palm of your hand.

Its design is simple, discreet and it works, since as we can see in the images it has numerous openings that facilitate proper cooling, and It has a wide variety of connectors. On the front it comes with two USB 3.0 Type-A, on the side it has a microSD card slot and on the back it has a power connector, a 3.5 mm jack, a Gigabit LAN, a USB 3.0 Type -A and two HDMI outputs.

The list of components that the GK3V has is quite interesting, since despite its small size it comes configured with a Intel Celeron N5105, which has four cores and four threads. It is not a high-performance processor, but it offers good performance considering its price and its TDP of just 10 watts.

In its base configuration the GK3V comes with 8 GB of RAM and has a 128 GB SSD. It has integrated Wi-Fi 6, comes with Windows 11 Pro as the operating system and mounts an active cooling system (includes a fan) that takes care of keeping working temperatures under control. We can configure it with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x memory at 2,933 MHzalthough it must be taken into account that the RAM memory is not expandable, so the configuration that we buy will be the definitive one.

The SSD itself is expandable, and can be changed very easily since we have access to it by simply removing a screw and opening the cover of the base of the equipment. The GK3V is priced at 240 euros, a reasonable figure considering everything it offers and what it can give of itself.
