Who more and who less most of us have one or more accounts gmail. For example, I have one for junk mail. For when they require an email account to access certain websites, and you know perfectly well that they want your email address to send you advertising, then I use that Gmail account, let them send what they want, and thus I protect my private email accounts.

So if you use Gmail, you should know that a very interesting native application for Mac has appeared, to be able to manage your Google email account directly, without having to enter from your browser: mimestream 1.0.

Neil Jhaveri, who worked for Apple for several years developing the Mail app, left the company to create his own Mail app. And after two years of work, he has finally presented it: Mimestream 1.0.

Mimestream is a client application for Gmail mail. It is native software for macOS written in Swift and designed with AppKit and SwiftUI. Its user interface is very reminiscent of that of Apple Mail, but with the difference that Mimestream only supports Gmail accounts. At least for now.

Mimestream uses the Gmail API instead of a connection to the mail server. IMAP mail standard, so you can enjoy features like categorized inboxes, aliases and signatures, server filters, templates, labels, vacation replies, mentions, undo send, archiving, etc, etc.

The app supports different Gmail accounts with a unified inbox. It seamlessly integrates with macOS to offer notifications, dark mode support, keyboard shortcuts, swipe gestures, etc.

You can try Mimestream 1.0 from its official website for 14 days. It is priced at $4.99 per month, or $49.99 per year, with an introductory offer of $29.99 during the first year.
