After a few Preview builds for developers, the Android 14 Beta program is officially open. Google has just released the first beta, and you can already install it on your smartphone, provided it is compatible.
As early as February, Google began testing the new version of its Android 14 mobile operating system with two different Preview versions, each of which added new features. As you might expect based on the rollout schedule announced by Google, the company has just opened its beta program to all users, and the first version is now available.

How to install Android 14 Beta 1 on your Pixel?
Unlike Developer Preview builds, beta builds tend to be more stable and are more likely to be usable by everyday users. However, as always, we still do not recommend to use this beta version on your main smartphonesince as this is the first beta, it may still contain some pesky bugs that could prevent you from using some key functions of your device.
If you don’t mind running into some issues, then feel free to try Android 14 on your Google Pixel smartphone. Only a few models are compatible: Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro, you can do it today.
The easiest way to get Android 14 on your Google Pixel device today is to go through the Android Beta program. This automated program allows you to accept beta Android updates and install them as you would a normal system update. There’s no need for a computer or fancy tools, and you can revert to Android 13 at any time by unsubscribing. To do this, go to the website google.com/android/beta.
You should see your device if it is eligible. Click on Participate, then on Confirm and register after reading the terms and conditions. You should see a notification that your device is now part of the Android 14 beta program. Then you just have to vGo to Settings > System > System update to view your Android 14 update, but you may have to wait a few hours for it to arrive. If you don’t want to wait, it’s also possible to sideload the update, but we only recommend this procedure for advanced users.
