Huawei Nova 8 SE 5G, a mid-range with premium airs

It has been a year since Huawei first introduced the Nova 8 and 8 Pro, and even the new Nova 9. However, it seems that the company still kept a small additional bet for this family, with the newly introduced Nova 8 SE 5G that they aim to cover a premium but inexpensive space in the mid-range, with some cool features like an OLED screen or its 66W fast charging system.

Despite its SE nomenclature, finding a terminal slightly lower than the original model, highlights the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 720 processor, which will give this phone a good jump to 5G networks.

Although the rest of its specifications are not far behind, with a 6.5-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution, a configuration of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal memory (expandable via SD), or its quite interesting battery set, which although it bets on a not so remarkable 3,800 mAh, It surprises us with its 66W fast charging system.

Thus, in relation to the photographic section, Huawei continues to show us its great bet with a triple setup around a 64 megapixel main sensor, accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field sensor. On the other side of the terminal, its front camera for selfies will focus on a simple 16-megapixel camera housed in a small notch in the upper central part.

However, at the software level we will continue to find the great thorn of Huawei, still unable to include Google services. So, instead we will find the HarmonyOS operating system together with Huawei’s own application store.

Availability and price

At the moment the Huawei Nova 8 SE 5G has only been presented in the Chinese market, so its possible date or price of arrival in Europe is unknown. Although given the current price at which it has been presented, one would expect prices below 300 euros in the event that it arrives in Spain.
