If you’re one of those people who really likes music, so much so as to have a program dedicated to storing it in an orderly manner according to different criteria, you’re sure to know the Doppler application. With it installed on your Mac, you can listen to music without having to carry out those tedious conversions in which quality is unfortunately usually lost. Now the users of this good and popular (increasingly) application are in luck because it has just been updated with some new important functions.

The Doppler application is widely used by all those who usually listen to music and have a large number of songs stored. Now the app that works great on the Mac but also on iOS has just been updated giving its users the ability to import their music library from the Music app or even from iTunes. Now, after opening the app for the first time, you can finally select the option to import from music, to set up the app using your current music library. Doppler will quickly import all our songs from the Music application (or iTunes, depending on the version of macOS that the Mac is running).

The remarkable thing about the update is that the data transfer is not only limited to copying songs and albums, but also metadata is also transferred that he has accumulated over the years from each of the songs.

But we are not staying here. The new update, 2.1, also adds the ability to change the folder where songs are stored. and this allows us store the folder on an external USB drive. Additionally, the update improves integration with third-party apps like Meta, Mp3tag, and Yate.

Doppler 2.1 is now available for download. The update is free for current users. For new users, a lifetime license of the application costs 30 euros.
