MSI Summit E16 Flip will debut Intel Arc Mobile dedicated graphics

The MSI Summit E16 Flip EVO is a high-end convertible that surprised when it was announced last summer for its great visual appeal, light and slim design, and at the same time a large 16-inch multi-touch screen that sought to offer the maximum balance between visualization, productivity and mobility.

The convertible was powered by Intel ‘Tiger Lake’ processors and featured a graphics card from NVIDIA. Now, a new model has appeared on the test site PugetBench highlighting the premiere of a Arc A370M graphics card. It is one of the models that Intel has prepared for its return to the dedicated segment and according to the site’s score it will offer a good level of performance.

The update of this MSI Summit E16 Flip EVO will also reach the CPU, with a processor Core i7-12700H with 14 cores and 20 threadsand to memory, since the convertible would be one of the first we see with the new memories for laptops LPDDR5-6400whose version for desktops has already been presented by MSI and for which its deployment is expected as laptops with Intel’s Alder Lake processors arrive on the market.

As for the Intel Arc A370M, it is based on the DG2-128EU GPU and is believed to be equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 64-bit memory bus. In the same way as in the desktop models, Intel will market the A380 series above it, but it will be reserved for computers focused on running games.

The PugetBench score does not allow us to know the specific performance level of the Arc A370M against NVIDIA mobile GPUs, but as we see Intel is convincing manufacturers to its use as a much-needed alternative in the current situation of the graphic market.

For the rest, it is not surprising that MSI has chosen this model for its premiere. A spectacular convertible which we hope will maintain the 16-inch screen with QHD+ resolution, multi-touch technology with support for styluses, the great autonomy of the previous model and the versatility for various modes of use (laptop, tablet, tent) of its convertible format.
