Discover the new trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film, in which a crucial character is missing.
Today, Warner Bros. gives us a Christmas present a little in advance, by unveiling a new trailer for the Fantastic Beasts 3: Secrets of Dumbledore. In it, we discover not only the official release date of the film, but also some elements of the plot that will be served to us in just a few months. Check out the trailer right here.
What happened to Tina?
As you might expect, the magizoologist played by Eddie Redmayne, namely Norbert Dragonneau, will always be at the center of the story, alongside a young Albus Dumbledore, played by Jude Law. However, no sign of Tina Goldstein, Norbert’s lover and sidekick, who even fought Croyance and Naguini by his side.
For the moment, there is absolutely no logical explanation for her absence, especially since she cannot be dead since she is supposed to be married (much later) to the magizoologist. In addition, the actress who plays it, namely Katherine Waterston, is listed in the cast of the film. If we do not see her in this trailer, it could therefore be due to the fact that something important is happening to her, that the producers did not want to spoil before the film’s release.
Grindelwald against a shock team
We also see Mad Mikkelsen in the skin of Grindelwald, after the dismissal of Johnny Depp. Scenaristically, it is not known if this change in appearance will be explained as being a strategy of the wizard, or if it will not be addressed at all. In any case, we can see that Grindelwald has lost neither his convictions nor his temerity. The merry band of wizards will therefore have to redouble their efforts to overcome Dumbledore’s Nemesis.
” This is the team that will destroy the most dangerous wizard this century has known: a magizoologist, his indispensable assistant, a wizard descended from a very old family, a teacher and… a muggle. All the odds are on our side “. On the scenario side, Warner Bros. teases us an epic boss fight, which Dumbledore could not be able to refuse, and this despite the inviolable oath passed with Gellert Grindelwald:
” Their most perilous mission will bring them face to face with animals, old and new, and the growing numbers of Grindelwald’s followers. Yet when the stakes are so high, will Dumbledore be able to stay in the shadows for a long time? “
A release date approaching
The film is expected to next April 13 in our French cinemas. While waiting for the return of the saga imagined by JK Rowling, we invite you to discover our best theories concerning what could happen in this last film, which will close the trilogy started in 2016.
