No Way Home, the most seen superhero film in cinemas in France

It is undoubtedly the film of all records. In France as everywhere else, Spider-Man: No Way Home flies from success to success, which allows cinemas to take a breather.

Whereas Spider-Man: No Way Home is increasingly titillating the world box office record ofAvatar, in France the film with Tom Holland in the title role offers itself a new trophy. According to @boxofficefr, the latest blockbuster from Marvel and Sony has officially become the most viewed superhero film of all time in French cinemas, ahead of avengers endgame !

A success that calls for others

While the final part of the saga avengers ended its career with 6,944,909 spectators in French cinemas, the third film in the trilogy Spiderman has indeed totaled 6,955,885 entries. And the threshold of 7 million should be quickly crossed! A record for a superhero film, and an achievement also given the health context which does not push spectators into theaters.

I have to say that Spider-Man: No Way Home fulfills the MCU’s multiverse promises, bringing to the screen some of the most emblematic supervillains of previous films, such as the Green Goblin, Doc Octopus, Electro, the Lizard or even the Sandman. A shock cast to which are added Tom Holland of course, as well as Zendaya and Ned Leeds, all excellent in their roles.

The film, which is on track to snag 2 billion dollars at the global box office, however, is no longer in favor with French audiences. The comedy Almost with Bernard Campan and Alexandre Jollien succeeded in dethroning the adventures of the spider-man during its first week of operation. Nevertheless, it had been a month and a half since No Way Home sat at the top of the podium…

The success of Spider-Man: No Way Home points the way to future Marvel movies. Starting with the second episode of Doctor Strange, directed by Sam Raimi, which will be visible in cinemas on May 4. It is nevertheless likely that the wizard of the MCU will not do as well as Spidey, the character is indeed less popular despite a three-star cast with Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen.
