OVHcloud improves its forecasts for 2022 due to the demand for digital sovereignty

OVHcloud he has improved your revenue forecasts for your fiscal year 2022, which the company claims is due to growing demand from European companies for a sovereign cloud. In the meantime, OVHcloud has published its results for the six months between last august and septembera period in which he has had about revenue of 382 million euros, an amount that represents a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. In this period, the revenue from its private Cloud area was the most numerous: 233 million euros, 15.8% more.

Those from the public cloud stayed at 60 million euros, 24% more. As for Web Cloud revenue, it grew by 5.3% to €86 million. Most of the company’s revenues come from France, while those from the rest of Europe accounted for 28.5% of the total, and the rest from other countries in the world.

Revenue for the period includes an impact of 2.9 million euros from the fire at the OVHcloud facilities in Strasbourg (France) last year, which resulted in the destruction of a data center. This caused numerous losses both to the company and to other companies and individuals who had their storage space and online systems contracted with OVHcloud.

Net income retention during the semester was 112%, with an improvement in customer retention as well. OVHcloud marketed 71 infrastructure and platform services. By the end of the company’s current financial year, scheduled for August 31, they expect to have 80. In total, it has 2,600 workers, in addition to 33 data centers in operation, with 400,000 servers serving 1, 6 million customers.

The previous estimate was between 12% and 15.
