According to information from leaker Mukul Sharma, who has also just revealed that the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will not arrive in Europe in February or March, the new Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro + will launch here in February 2022. These will succeed directly to the smartphones of the 8 series that we had been able to test, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro.

The Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro + are said to have been certified in Europe under the model numbers RMX3472 and RMX3393, and everything indicates that they would be marketed here as early as next month. Smartphones would then arrive a little earlier than their predecessors, since the Realme 8 Pro had only arrived at the end of March 2021.

What do we know about the technical characteristics of smartphones?

According to Mukul Sharma, both Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro + smartphones will be 5G compatible. This is therefore a significant improvement over the Realme 8 Pro of 2021, since it was only compatible with 4G. Smartphones should therefore be powered by MediaTek chips such as the Dimensity 810 or Dimensity 920.

Additionally, based on previous leaks, the Realme 9 Pro + should be powered by a 5000mAh battery compatible with 65W fast charging. The Realme 8 Pro only offered a 4500mAh battery compatible with 50W fast charging, but a 65W charger was included in the box.

Finally, on the photo side, smartphones could use a configuration with three or four sensors, with a 50 MP main sensor and a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The selfie part would be provided by a 16 MP sensor, as was already the case on the previous generation. We would also find at the front a AMOLED screen, but it is not yet known whether it will support a high refresh rate.

Either way, we should find out more about them soon if their release is indeed slated for next month in France. In the meantime, Realme should lift the veil on its top-of-the-range smartphone for 2022, the Realme GT 2 Pro, starting tomorrow, Tuesday January 4, 2022.
