
Chinese smartphone makers all strive to offer the fastest charging on their devices, and Realme is currently working on a compatible model with 150W power.
On Weibo, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station announced that Realme is preparing to unveil a smartphone with 150 W fast charging. This would be a record, since currently, the smartphone with the fastest charging is a model from Xiaomiwith a maximum power of 120 W.
It’s been almost 2 years now that we’ve been waiting for a model compatible with 125W fast charging from Realme, Oppo having presented this technology during the summer of 2020. The CEO of Realme India, Madhav Sheth had revealed that the company intends to market UltraDart 125 W fast charging starting this year, but no model supporting this technology has yet been presented.
Realme’s next smartphone will charge at full speed
According to information from leaker Digital Chat Station, Realme intends to launch a model compatible with 150 W fast charging in 2022. The Chinese manufacturer would not be the only one to offer such a fast smartphone, since Xiaomi also plans to unveil its first device with 150 W charging. The latter would also be ready to quickly counter all the technologies that its competitors could offer. Indeed, Xiaomi unveiled the Hypercharge 200 W fast charge last year, capable of filling a 4000 mAh battery in just 8 minutes.
Realme’s 150 W smartphone would have the particularity of being sold with a 160 W AC adapter, a first on the market. This would allow you to charge other compatible devices such as laptops at full speed.
While waiting for the arrival of such a smartphone, Realme is preparing to launch a compatible smartphone in China within a few weeks. with 80 W fast charging. The latter will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processor, a clamped version of the high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC engraved in 4 nm. The manufacturer presented its new Realme GT 2 Pro in China a few weeks ago, but the latter had to make do with a more classic fast recharge of only 65 W.
