A range that until now was made up of the Reavon UBR-X100 and the Reavon UBR-X200, which we had the opportunity to test a few months ago. The French manufacturer Reavon has been quite brave, betting on the physical format when it seems that it is about to die. Bearing in mind that it is a format that has practically remained for collectors and for users who are always looking for the highest quality, the manufacturer decided to launch two high-end players. Now, as we mentioned, it completes the range with a third player. The Reavon UBR-X110 is virtually identical to the UBR-X100, but with added support for the SACD format..
Reavon UBR-X110: a universal player for lovers of the physical format
All three Reavon players sport the same premium design (with a few changes to the top model internally). They feature an extremely rigid construction to achieve a high signal-to-noise ratio for quality audio and video performance. 1.6mm thick chassis base is reinforced with 3mm thick steel plate under the rigid base to minimize noise from mechanical movement of the optical assembly. The result is a significantly quieter, stiffer and more stable chassis structure. This translates into reduced vibrations for higher performance and better overall performance of the player’s components for more faithful listening.
The Reavon UBR-X110 is a universal disc player, which means it can play virtually any optical disc. Is compatible with 4K UHD Blu-ray discs, as well as Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD, DVD Audio and CD. It is also capable of playing music, video, and audio files such as FLAC, AIFF, DFF, DSF, JPG, TIFF, MKV, and M2TS. You can also play these files from an external drive via USB or from a network storage system thanks to DLNA. It is also compatible with Samba.
But the great novelty with respect to the model that we already had on the market is that the Reavon UBR-X110 is compatible with the high quality SACD format. The player is designed to extract information from CDs and SACDs as accurately as possible for optimal audio performance during playback.
In terms of connectivity, the Reavon UBR-X110 has dual HDMI output to separate audio and video and be able to enjoy 4K HDR images with Dolby Vision even if we have an older AV receiver or audio processor that is not compatible with the new formats. It also has High-efficiency coaxial and S/PDIF digital audio output. And there is no missing USB 3.0 port so you can connect a hard drive directly to the player.
In short, this is a fairly interesting universal record player for those who have a large collection of movies and music in physical format. As we mentioned before, this new model is between the UBR-X100 and the UBR-X200, also in price. The Reavon UBR-X110 is already on sale with an official price of 1,100 euroscompared to 949 euros for his little brother and 1,849 euros for his older brother.
