Red: teenagers, emotions and a red panda in the first trailer of the new Disney Pixar movie

Disney and Pixar have recently released the first trailer for Red, the new animated film that will debut in theaters next year.

The film is directed by the Canadian writer and director of Chinese origin Domee Shi who, in addition to directing the short Bao, has actively contributed to the making of several successful animated films such as Inside Out (2015), The Incredibles 2 (2018) and Toy Story 4 (2019).

Release date of Red, the new Disney Pixar movie

Produced by Lindsey Collins, the new animated feature film Red by brand Disney is Pixar Animation Studios will arrive in theaters with stars and stripes on March 11, 2022.

The film stars Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly transforms into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which practically always means). Mei Lee’s mother, Ming, is overprotective, if not slightly authoritarian, and never strays from her daughter – an embarrassing reality for a teenager like her struggling with the problems associated with this particular phase of life and growth.

From the trailer it seems that we will be faced with another hilarious animated film that is still able to tell a fascinating and meaningful story.
