After the reopening of the site “What is the Matrix”, with the possibility to choose between the red and the blue pill, here comes the first official trailer of Matrix Resurrections. 2 minutes and 50 of scenes that show us Neo, Trinity and a new one Morpheus grappling with the agents created by the Matrix to safeguard the entire virtual world.
The film, directed by Lana Wachowski, presents itself as a return to the atmospheres that made the trilogy of The Matrix, with Keanu Reeves And Carrie-Anne Moss who resume their historical roles.
The first Matrix Resurrections trailer is finally here
Announced a few days ago, thanks also to the official website of the film, the trailer for Matrix Resurrections has now arrived online on the Warner Bros Pictures Youtube channel. The premises are all there to bring us back into the Matrix and try to bring to light the memories and powers developed by Neo in the first film.
It seems that the protagonist has been rebooted but has now chosen to take the blue pill and remain unaware of the reality around him. This at least until the memories come back to light, show him enigmatic visions and bring him back in the presence of Morpheus (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), ready to choose the red pill and go back to being the Chosen One.
With filming on the film that began in San Francisco in February 2020, stopped in March due to the pandemic and resumed in August in Berlin, the film is now in the final stages of production, due to arrive in theaters in December 2021.
In the film, as also seen in the trailer, the protagonists of the original Neo trilogy will return (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) and Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith). Among the new entries, next to the rejuvenated Morpheus, we will find Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci And Daniel Bernhardt.
The direction is by Lana Wachowski, who co-wrote the film with David Mitchell And Aleksandar Hermon.
