Redmi Note 12: 210W fast charging and fingerprint reader under the screen

Almost a year after the release of the Redmi Note 11, Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to unveil a brand new Redmi Note 12 series. As a reminder, the Redmi Note 11 were unveiled at the end of October 2021, but the smartphones are not They then arrived in France only in January. Every year, Xiaomi’s Redmi Notes are the manufacturer’s most popular smartphones thanks to their very attractive price-performance ratio, which is why new models are always eagerly awaited.

The new Redmi Note 12 could therefore be launched next month in China, and we already know more about their technical characteristics. First, leaker Digital Chat Station revealed that fingerprint sensors would soon make a comeback under the display of Xiaomi’s mid-range smartphones, which could correspond to the next Redmi Note 12. As a reminder, the previous models had until now to be satisfied with fingerprint readers on the edge.

The Redmi Note 12 will charge at lightning speed

In addition to fingerprint readers, we now know what to expect when it comes to fast charging on the series. Indeed, several models have already been spotted at the Chinese certification body 3C, which was forced to reveal the maximum charging power for the batteries.

According to certifications, one of the smartphones with model number “22101316UC” will benefit from fast charging at 210 W, a power never seen before from the Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi unveiled its 200W Hypercharge fast charging solution more than a year ago, which could charge a smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery in just 8 minutes. It will therefore probably finally arrive on one of the manufacturer’s devices. However, it will not be the first device compatible with such power, since the iQOO 10 Pro is already capable of being recharged at 200 W.

This model should therefore be the successor to the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G of the previous year. 3C also reveals that the Redmi Note 12 Pro would benefit from a fast recharge 120 Wwhile the classic Redmi Note 12 will be satisfied with 67 W.
