History of being the first smartphone of 2022, Samsung takes advantage of CES to announce its new Galaxy S21 FE, the entry into the S21 range.
As was the case with the Galaxy S20s, the Korean manufacturer is taking advantage of this new year and a CES 2022 under high surveillance to finally announce and market from today its new smartphone, the Galaxy S21 FE and for those who have not any follow-up or who would wonder, FE stands for Fan Edition. Also, with this new smartphone Samsung is trying to offer newcomers, and with a more aggressive price, everything that could seduce consumers of the Galaxy S21.
Like a family resemblance
Also, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE takes up a size similar to what the Galaxy S20 FE offered and also a design and colors that are aimed at a rather young population. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE offers this year no less than four trendy and dynamic colors with a matte finish on the back, similar to what the Galaxy S20 FE offers. It is obviously 5G and will be positioned at a price of 759 euros for the 128GB version and 829 euros for the 256GB version.
An AMOLED screen
If the Galaxy S20 FE offered a 6.5-inch screen, we find on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with Full HD + definition and yes, we find a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is a flat screen with a punch for the front camera. In addition, of course, there is a 240Hz tactile sampling rate for greater tactile responsiveness, useful for video games for example. With this slightly smaller screen and especially thinner screen edges, the Galaxy S21 FE is found to be slightly smaller than its predecessor and especially lighter by around twenty grams, which is far from negligible.
High-end features
This year, no 4G version of course and because it is the fashionable SoC, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE offers, for our greatest pleasure, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. There is a MicroSD port and the S21 FE will be available in 128GB with 6GB of RAM or 256GB with 8GB of RAM. Likewise, there are stereo speakers but no jack port, and like its predecessor, the S21 FE is indeed Dolby Atmos compatible. On the battery side, the Galaxy S21 FE offers 4500mAh with 25W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, not to mention wireless power sharing.
The classic photo block
On the photo side, we find the photo unit integrated into the shell of the Galaxy S21 with three cameras, a main wide-angle, an ultra-wide-angle and a telephoto. As with the S20 FE, if the main camera and the ultra wide-angle offer a 12 Megapixel sensor, the S21 FE telephoto offers an 8 Megapixel sensor only but there is optical stabilization, just like on the main camera. No 8K recording but 4K at 60fps all the same and other practical functions such as Night mode or the Single Take function.
Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is available today, January 04, 2022 and for all orders until the end of the month, Samsung is offering a pair of Galaxy Buds 2. Count a price of 759 euros for the 128GB version and 829 euros for the 256GB version.
