Samsung will raise the level of its laptops with the Galaxy Book3

Samsung will present its new generation of Galaxy Book3 laptops at Unpacked on February 1, with five different variants in screen sizes and formats, since some will be convertible.

Although the Galaxy S23 smartphones will be the star of the event, the renewal of Samsung’s offer for PCs will also be of great interest. We have already discussed it on other occasions. Samsung does not have such a wide offer to that of specialists such as Lenovo or HP, but what it brings to the market is of a high level.

Galaxy Book3: versions

Samsung will expand the possibilities of the series with five different options. Namely:

  • Samsung Galaxy Book3: laptop with a 15-inch screen.
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 360: convertible with a 15-inch screen.
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro: laptop with a 14 or 16-inch screen.
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360: convertible with a 16-inch screen.
  • Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra: laptop with a 16-inch screen.

Although the full specifications are not known, we do have a good idea of ​​what they will be like thanks to the leaks that accompany these releases. For example, it is clear that the ‘360’ models correspond to the convertible offerwith touch screens and the 360-degree hinge system that allow them to be placed on the keyboard and favor various modes of use, tablet, laptop or intermediate for presentations or use of the stylus in drawing or taking notes, since the manufacturer it will include a pressure sensitive S-Pen.

We also know that Samsung has opted for the thirteenth generation of Intel processors (Raptor Lake) to power its new laptops. Thus, the customer will have the option of using the Intel Core i5-1340P or the Core i7-1360P, accompanied by 16 Gbytes of DDR5 memory and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe solid-state storage.

As for screens, the newest will be the 16-inch, a format that all manufacturers are already using in order to offer greater display capacity than the 15-inch versions, but with the same size footprint as large portables. 17 inches. Here Samsung will mount the best it has, AMOLED panels with native resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and the usual image quality from the manufacturer.

Despite the good size of the screen, these Pro and Ultra versions will retain their low thickness and lightness, with 13 mm and 1.6 kg of weight. Both will be equipped with 76 Wh batteries and will feature a four-speaker setup tuned by AKG and support for Dolby Atmos. Support for the latest wireless connectivity standards, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as Thunderbolt, USB and HDMI ports, is assured.
