Star Wars: announced the remake of Knights of the Old Republic

After years of rumors, indiscretions and, sometimes, even parizali denials, the effectiveness of the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic!

The remake of the mythical RPG set in the Star Wars universe was in fact announced during the PlayStation Showcase yesterday, with Sony accompanied the news with the publication of a short teaser trailer.

The promotional video, visible below, does not present any gameplay scenes but only the unmistakable figure of Darth Revan emerging from the darkness with his lightsaber, enough sequence to make our hype skyrocket.

Recall that the original KOTOR was launched by BioWare in 2003 on Xbox and then also landed on PC (now it’s even free on Steam) and mobile devices.

The pinnacle of Star Wars Legends narrative, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is set 4,000 years before the events of the first trilogy and introduces a new story with new heroes and villains in an epic battle to decide the fate of the galaxy.

The Aspyr team and Sony Interactive Entertainment have joined forces with Lucasfilms Games to bring you a remake of a classic Star Wars adventure.

We’re rebuilding one of the greatest RPGs of all time for the new generation with modern technologies, features and graphics, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters we’ve always loved.

And now? This remake is a colossal undertaking, involving almost every single aspect of the original game. We are still in the early stages of development, but we are happy to have finally announced the remake and to be able to hear what the PlayStation community thinks.

When is the remake of Knights of the Old Republic out?

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake, developed by Aspyr Media it will be exclusive PlayStation 5 And PC at launch.

No information about the release date has been revealed, although it is highly probable that the game will not arrive before 2023.
