This AVM FRITZ! Box 6850 LTE router has simultaneous dual band with AC1300 WiFi, this means that we can achieve a speed of up to 400Mbps in the 2.4GHz band, and a speed of up to 867Mbps in the 5GHz band. This model has two antennas in MIMO 2T2R configuration for each frequency band, so we can obtain very good wireless speed. Of course, this router has a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button to sync wireless clients quickly and easily.
A very important feature of all AVM routers is the compatibility with FRITZ! Mesh, the WiFi Mesh technology of the German manufacturer AVM. We will be able to configure this router as a Mesh base, and connect other routers, repeaters and PLCs via WiFi or via cable and form a complete WiFi Mesh network. Thanks to this Mesh network, we will be able to connect to any of the different nodes, in addition, we will have band-steering to connect to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band with a single SSID, so that the router takes care of “positioning ourselves” on one frequency band or the other. Another important feature is WiFi roaming with the 802.11k / v standards, this allows us to go from one node to another without interrupting the wireless connection.
