The former Google, Javier del Valle, new Country Manager of Vedrai Iberia

Javier del Valle has joined Vedrai to launch Vedrai Iberia, the Spanish subsidiary of the Italian company founded in 2020 by Michele Grazioli. Javier has decided to take this step, after 7 years working for Google, with prediction algorithms to analyze and manage the punctuality or risk of non-payment of customers.

Graduated in ADE from the university of Navarra and with more than 14 years of experience in market analysis, the world of entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence, Javier del Valle sees the opportunity to start a new business in Spain with the Italian company, with a cutting-edge product whose main objective is help Spanish SMEs to be more competitive. His international profile, working in different parts of Europe, such as in Germany (Bigpoint GmbH) or Ireland (Google), makes him the perfect candidate to lead the launch and expansion of the company in national territory, in perfect synergy with the headquarters Main in Italy.

Founded in 2020 by Michele Grazioli, the company chose Spain to start its international expansion in Europe, after raise more than 45 million capital in just two years. Among its investors are renowned investment funds such as Azimut, the president of Calzedonia, Sandro Veronesi, the soccer player Chiellinni, and the tenor Andrea Bocelli. Its subsidiary in Spain, Vedrai Iberia, based in Madrid, is led by Ferdinando Meo, former CEO of Groupon Spain, as President.

The use of Artificial Intelligence in Spain still has a long way to go to settle down (currently only 7% of SMEs in Spain use artificial intelligence). «The low adoption of technology makes Vedrai’s project a challenge that is as demanding as it is enriching”, affirms Javier del Valle, Country Manager of Vedrai Iberia. Therefore, the solutions offered by the company in the local territory have as their main objective the democratization of Artificial Intelligence, making it available to SMEs.

With this technology, Vedrai helps managers to optimize their strategy: to make better decisions by reducing reaction time and uncertainty, as well as the expenses of the company in question. Vedrai offers, for each business function, a specific virtual agent that monitors hundreds of internal data and external variables in order to calculate the future impact of each business decision (for example, the virtual agent Becky, who studies and predicts the fluctuations of the prices of raw materials to achieve significant savings in the purchase of the same).

Vedrai’s template has gone from 3 to more than 150 employees and have opened three offices during the consolidation process in Italy. In this way, they are launching to accelerate their internationalization process that begins in Spain.
