Tomb Raider: a new game developed on Unreal Engine 5 is in preparation

4 years after the release of its last opus, the Tomb Raider franchise will soon be entitled to a new video game. Crystal Dynamics took advantage of the global launch of Unreal Engine 5 to announce the developer of a new installment in the saga. Indeed, the latter is developed on the latest Epic engine. No release date has yet been mentioned.

Barely launched, Epic’s new engine has already made its way into development studios. Indeed, Crystal Dynamics is not the first to use the latter, since CD Projekt has already announced a new title from The Witcher saga, also developed on Unreal Engine 5. The Coalition, the studio behind the Gears of War 4 and 5, also featured its own tech demo of the engine.
